Subject line should state: LOR {AVTAA applicant's first and last name}
To submit the 2027 AVTAA Pre-Application, follow these steps:
Go to https://wetransfer.com/. This service is free and does not require an account.
Enter avtaa.vts.preapp@gmail.com in the “email to” box
Enter your personal email address in the “your email” box (work email addresses not advised due to firewalls)
Enter 2027 AVTAA Pre-Application in the “title” box
Enter your full name in the “message” box
Click upload files at the top of the box
- Ensure that ALL pre-application documents are present before zipping the folder.
- ONLY zipped Folders (containing multiple files) can be sent via WeTransfer
- Individual files will NOT be accepted!
- Name the zipped folder yourfirstname.lastname.applicant2027
Click the TRANSFER button
You will be asked to verify your email by entering a code sent to your email address. Enter code and click “verify.”
The uploaded files will be transferred to AVTAA.
You will receive an email confirming files were transferred successfully. You will also receive an email when AVTAA downloads your files. Please keep both of these emails for reference.

Go to https://wetransfer.com/. This service is free and does not require an account.
Enter avtaa.vts.credential@gmail.com in the “email to” box
Enter your personal email address in the “your email” box
Enter 2027 AVTAA Application in the “title” box
Enter your full name in the “message” box
Click upload files at the top of the box
- Folder 1 and Folder 2 must contain the appropriate files before zipping the folder
- ONLY zipped Folders (containing multiple files) can be sent via WeTransfer
- Individual files will NOT be accepted!
- Folder 1 should be saved as yourfirstname.lastname.AVTAA2027.zip
- Folder 2 should be saved as yourapplicant#.AVTAA2027.zip
Upload BOTH Folder 1 and Folder 2 together at the same time. This will help minimize total emails sent.
Click the TRANSFER button

2027 Complete Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59:59 Eastern Standard Time, December 31, 2026
*No applications will be accepted after this time *
NOTE: Upload of large files make take 5-10 minutes for the transfer to be complete. The emails from WeTransfer are sent AFTER all document upload is complete. DO NOT START THE UPLOAD at the 11:59:59pm Eastern Time deadline! AVTAA uses the time stamp on the WeTransfer email that contains the files for each application. If the time stamp is after 11:59:59pm Eastern Time, the files will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!
DO NOT submit application documents to the DropBox, unless instructed to do so.
